StatCounter is a most widely used tool to track blog/website visitors. It is a quite useful tool if you want to get visitors stats for your blog. It has free as well as paid service. If you want to use it, go to StatCounter and create an account, fill necessary info and at last you will get code to put in your blog and it will start tracking.
Sometimes people don't pay attention while adding their blog and StatCounter tracks their visits also. In this case you will not get the exact data since it also include your visits. Follow the below steps to prevent tracking your own visits.
It will show your IP Address click on that and it will fill your IP in the box, click Update Project and it is done!
Note: It will only work if your IP Address remains the same otherwise it will keep on tracking your visits.

Stop StatCounter tracking your own visits
• Go to the project for which you want to prevent your tracking. On the top left corner under the headings click Config and in the next window click the first option Edit Project Settings, there you will see the option to block your IP Address.It will show your IP Address click on that and it will fill your IP in the box, click Update Project and it is done!
